Ahh! I just re-formatted the disks on both of my systems (my XP and 2000 machines) and they're in working condition now, but every time I load DX2 on my 2000 machine and then use Judge's weather object - DX2 crashes. But it only does so when I try to delete it or modify that object. It's only that object and that object only.

Solving the problem isn't as big of a worry as is trying to get rid of it! If anyone can tell me how I can get rid of the object then please tell me because it's driving me crazy

Oh, and by the by,

Trying to reload another theme while that weather object is there still causes DX2 to crash.

If you disable the script before deleting the object does it still crash?  Does this happen with other objects?

Old Sapphire, try loading up the Object Navigator and deleting it from there.

In DX Config. click on 'Navigate' and delete any item you do not want running. Also, you can unload DX and go to it's folder and delete the 'user theme' folder (user name will show). You then can start fresh to see if you can get the weather running (it will put clean 'user folder' back.

No, Karma, I'm afraid it is only with this one object.

Hus and yrag, thank you, as I deleted it from the ON then I deleted the user theme folder and got other objects that had the same problem working.

Unfortunately, the Weather object still crashes DX... Oh well I suppose I can just watch the news

That particular Object has never worked for me either,,It totally crashes DX for me every time.I do/will not use it anymore. The program called WeatherWatcher is much easier to use and has a lot of worldwide maps/radar to look at.I also have noticed that ANY of the weather objects cause DX to run much harder, while other more informative weather progs run about the sane as YZ ToolBar.About 4 to 6 k instead of 20k for a weather prog that gives temps, and potentially crashes DX.

Weather programs for those who have issues with the DX object:

Weather Watcher (brazil's recommendation): http://207.218.206.9/~singerscreations.com/Index.html Freeware and no ads or spyware.

Weather Pulse: http://www.tropicdesigns.net/weatherpulse.html Freeware and no ads or spyware.

Weather Pulse has a bit nicer GUI and perhaps more features. I've used both. They both use weather.com info. Perhaps not as cool from a skinning standpoint, but they get the job done. Both can run the temp in the systray and a click on it opens the program's GUI.

Thanks sig101,just installed and tried Weather Pulse. While both progs are different and have some great features,Weather Pulse iz the grooviest,I think. It iz truly skinned while WeatheWatcher has a face of itz own. But,dun, there iz a lot o' stuff on Weather Pulse,,,the winner.

Do you have the same problems with Martin's weather Objects?  (They might
have been uploaded by Frogboy)  Martins are Stardock Certified, so they
should work.  If they don't, then there is a problem.
